Hickory Flat girls gets decisive win over Corinth at Walnut tournament
Hickory Flat travelled to Walmut to take on 4A Corinth at the Sikes Lyles Tournament on Tuesday. The 1A school jumped out to a big lead early in the game and never trailed from that point in a commanding 57-29 victory.
The Lady Rebels jumped out to an 18-6 first quarter lead that was sparked by their swarming full court press defense, which led to 19 first half turnovers from Corinth.
A combination of big shots from downtown by Laney Teel and the playmaking ability of R’Daztiny Harris, who had a game high 20 points, provided the offensive firepower to secure the win for Hickory Flat.
The Lady rebels moved to 6-1 on the season.
